Creature from the Stone Lagoon
Monday, I caught a gorgeous 4 pound steelhead. It's back was a dark blue-green. Bill tried to take a photo with my camera of me and the fish. But, I didn't have it set up wide-angle enough. We got a photo of my head looking down at the fish. Before we could get the camera set correctly, the fish thrashed out of my hands back into the lagoon. I caught it on one of my own fly creations - white and black/green metallic chenille for the body, white synthetic polar bear hair for the wing, and ultraviolet pearl Krystal Flash for the tail. With the exception of the first time that Bill and I went fishing, all the fish that I've caught have been on flies that I've tied.

Whenever I gallery-sit at the Old Town Art Gallery, I tie flies between customers.

We're getting set up for the next chocolate tasting, June 17. More coming.
