Tomorrow morning, I drive down to San Francisco for
track 2 of the touring Epson Print Academy. I'll be
staying in Burlingame right near Max's Opera Deli
which serves The Ultimate Chocolate Cake. I'll be
taking the train into the city and bussing it around
town. After the seminar, it's off to the Bittersweet
Café for shopping and a drink. Not sure about dinner
yet. If I'm still awake at 8pm, I'm off to see Lavay
Smith at Biscuits & Blues just two blocks from
where the seminar is being held.
At the BC, I'll be looking for the new Domori bars as well as Michel Cluizel Amer de Brut, Castelain 85%, Guittard Sur del Lago 65%, and Pralus - Ghana 75%, Colombia 75%, Chocovic Guyave, and seventypercent.com's #1 bar Amadei Chuao,

I stand corrected

I was concerned that the local chocolate maker,
Sjaaks, who won our first chocolate tasting may have
had added flavors. I stopped in at Sjaaks yesterday
and was told that it does not. I still think that it
was 54% compared to on the average about 72% tipped
things in their favor for us nouveau tasters.
But, not to worry. Sjaaks has a 70% bar which will be in the next tasting. One of the tasters will be one of Sjaaks choclatiers. Should be interesting to see how he does
